Taylor Swift (Almost) Tops List of Highest Grossing Tours for 2011
Taylor Swift came in second place on Pollstar's List of Top Grossing Tours for 2011. U2 topped the list with $156 million worldwide - 25 shows in 21 cities. Taylor Swift brought in close to $98 million while touring primarily in the US - giving 80 concerts in 59 cities.
Kenny Chesney came in a "close" second at almost $85 million. Rounding out the top five were Lady Gaga ($64M) and Bon Jovi ($57M).
Taylor has a long way to go to catch U2, but given that she's only been touring a few years - and they've been touring a few decades, I think she's doing QUITE well!
